Myself and a group of friends stayed here at the end of July. Location wise it was brilliant - everything we needed was in walking distance. The house was a good size, however required TLC in most rooms. Unfortunately, we experienced extremely poor communication with the owner. My friend booked the stay and tried to contact him several times upon arrival as we had issues gaining access to the property. His phone was switched off but luckily we eventually got our keys. He had advised my friend prior to our stay that we would have access to 3 free spaces outside the property but when the rest of the group arrived (2 in cars) the spaces were already in use by other people, meaning parking had to be paid for throughout our entire stay (which he has not agreed to reimburse us for). We had then planned to spend our last day exploring Liverpool a bit more and my friend had checked that we could leave our bags at the house whilst we did this which he had agreed to before our stay, however, when it came to our last day, the cleaner had not been made aware of this arrangement and we were asked to leave earlier than expected. A week or so after our stay in Liverpool, my friend received an extremely irate phone call from the owner demanding payment in full from the property. This had already been taken in full from her bank account before we arrived which she advised him of. He asked her to transfer it whilst she was on the phone and was extremely rude. she ended up having to prove the payment via screenshots from her bank statement. Overall, we found the communication style to be extremely unprofessional and unnecessary.

My party and I had a few awful experiences with this place so would not recommend attending. First is promised, free parking, only to show up and cars parked in the space instead. No refunds given directly from the guy who owns the place, or basic correspondence. Secondly, and on the subject of poor correspondence, we tried calling the guy who owns this place a number of times when we arrived as the lock on the door was faulty so we couldn't get it and his phone was switched off. That is a basic hosting principle/requirement not met. The house itself was average, but not suited for a group of women (or even men tbh!) as plug sockets are like gold dust. Positives: location and the pub across the road.
