They've always been great, until they weren't. We have been taken off the books and my cat was poorly. I also cannot get through to get my cats medical history from them either. Yet they emailed me about helping others ' with donations for their pets treatment when my own was sick and refused care.

My beloved cat was registered a few years ago with PDSA. He has become seriously ill so I called for an emergency as he is vomiting and has diarrhoea, dehydrated and lethargic- only to be told that they closed their books in 2020 and are not accepting new patients. I told them he was registered, they said if he hasnt been seen since 2020 they will not see him (which doesnt make sense as they were seeing no animals during lockdown!) and to take him to a vet. I explained that I am on benefits (ESA, PIP and housing) and cannot afford to take him to a vet, that hes dying and needs help or to be put to sleep and out of pain - they said theres nothing they can/will do. PDSA - your motto is that pets are family - you state on your charity and website that they dont deserve to suffer through economic and social hardship. They cant help themselves. But we can. You claim to keep pets and families together. Either that is false advertisement or just an out and out lie. Which is it? Because you clearly were happy to allow my cat to suffer. You clearly dont keep pets and families together. You clearly dont help - even in an emergency. I have had to borrow money from family, putting myself in more financial hardship because my cat is worth it and doesnt deserve to suffer. But you dont think he is worth it. Im truly disgusted that you wouldnt help in an emergency. I have given so much money to you in the past and have received nothing in return when i and my pet needed it most. You will be getting nothing more from me and I urge people not to give to this charity. Their head of company takes home a six figure sum annually at 160,000. How do you expect people to afford vets bills when they dont take home 160 a week? Youre not a charity, youre a con .
