Fabulous campsite with amazing views in a great location. Just stayed at this site with my husband and dog - we loved how peaceful it was and waking up next to a field of sheep with their lambs. The location is fab - 10 minutes walk away from a cafe, pub and 10 mins drive away to a village where we tried a the fab fish & chips shop. The Monsal trail is really close so we spent one day walking. The campsite facilities are really clean and the pot washing area has the best view. We loved our stay so much, we decided to stay an extra night. 100% recommend staying here!

Just returned home after staying 1 night at this site in our campervan. Lovely rural views and nice green field (bit of sheep poo where we pitched that we didn't see till after). The site is open to the elements but the weather was lovely. We were not greeted or checked in anywhere and cars coming and going (would anyone notice if someone came in who hadn't prebooked??). Busy site when we were there. Toilets were well stocked and I was surprised how clean they were seeing as the site was so busy. Very smelly though - air fresheners need replacing. Difficult to get out the toilet doors and i'm an average sized gal. Big skip for rubbish was handy. Sink for washing pots, drinking water. Showers are portable cubicles. They looked ok but didn't use them. Not sure we would go back to this site as its a bit rural for us and we're not ramblers. We liked it as a quick 1 night stop as we were returning from Yorkshire coast on the way home. Would recommend to others though.
