Andy Knott Construction took on the renovation + extension project for our home. About 1 month into our build, first Covid lockdown happened. Inevitably there was delay, however, no one could have been prepared for that back then. Despite the having new challenges after resuming the work during the pandemic, the team were kept safe from Covid and managed to complete our build. We are pleased with the result. Thanks to the professional and hard-working team. Everyone we met/spoke to was helpful, friendly and polite. We had couple of minor issues (due to the weather) after the completion. After raising the issues with them, all got fixed very quickly much appreciated!

Despite free parking spaces nearby, Knott cars and builders vans chose to ignore the double yellow lines and regularly block my drive while working on a property near me. Three workers one van? No, three workers, three large vans. In addition a regular large flat bed truck, supervisor in his car and then various additional tradesmen all in vans. Majority of vans were not being used to get tools from with only visible access needed for drivers having a cigarette and eating their lunches. Regular noisy radio during the day and loud machine work before 8 AM in a residential area. If you want to keep your neighbours happy, perhaps consider your options before using this builder and the ensuing Knott builders yard experience.

Andy Knott Construction was the general contractor for the Norris Museum a job they approached with vigour and enthusiasm and no little skill. It was difficult job since every stick of material had to be hand-balled through a 4 doorway yet they never complained of this being an issue. The job included a number of facets that featured both new build as well as conversion works and in the case of the curator house that we turned into an archive, some very heavy engineering. The finished building is a delight in retaining the spirit the much loved Norris but just brought up to date a little.
