Having been a regular at the Littlehampton branch, over the years, I was happy to revisit with my wife for lunch. The fish was superb, the chips were rubbish. The mayonnaise was no longer homemade. But the best part of our meal was the waitress, who was everything a waitress should be - welcoming, efficient, pleasant and helpful. When my wife dropped her knife, a new one was was brought to the table before she had picked it up. An elderly coupled arrived and chose a table, while they took off their coats the waitress brought two cushions for their chairs. As the restaurant is now part of the Proto chain, I fear that you will no longer see their name in the Fish and Chip award winner list. Sorry, not as good as in the past.

We hadn't been to the fish factory since way before Covid. When we visited we were shocked how down hill it has gone. There were only 2 other tables in use when we got there and the rest was empty which I suppose tells you something it not being busy. I thought it was very tight that you have to pay for peas or mushy peas when ordering a fish dish. They cost pennies for the restaurant to buy. Also the chips tasted disgusting like they had been re-heated. Overall I won't be eating here again and will stick to my local fish and chips takeaway.
