At the nail salon Beautiful nails Littlehampton and the lady in charge is with a customer and I can sense they are talking about me. I look up and she says ohhhhh she can hear me! I look confused and they both start laughing. I say I dont appreciate you talking about my Deafness. The two ladies look at each other and smile and obviously are uncomfortable and the one having her nails done says but you heard me and I say um no I didnt and they both get back to their business. I wanted to cry. I dont know when people are talking about me and I dont appreciate people talking about MY Deafness and MY a disability right in front of me and using it as a topic and a banter. (Edit I get told that the lady who was having her nails done didnt believe the lady when she said I was Deaf so the one doing the nails was covering her mouth and shouting words to get my attention!) Anddddd when she was first with my daughter she looked over her shoulder and went hellllooooooo really loudly and i obviously didnt hear and she kept doing it til I looked up and then proceeded to laugh.
