I really wish I had read the reviews before contacting GREEN THUMB and asking for the complete lawn makeover!! We moved into our property at the beginning of the year and it was clear that the front and back lawns were infested with Leather Jackets and Chafer Bugs. Green Thumb stated that before starting the lawn makeover that they would get rid of the Leather Jackets and Chaffer Bugs with their pest treatment. I do not know what they use but on line it clearly states that the only way to get rid of these pests are to use Nematodes and a different Nematode for each pest and a two week treatment. They treated the lawn twice with their own treatment. So the lawn makeover went ahead and it all looked and sounded fine. However, after 14 days, at the first after makeover visit, the Green Thumb guy was surprised that there was no germination visible. He went away and we had no idea what was going to happen. We eventually managed to speak with a Green Thumb guy who came to see the lawns (cannot really call them that) by this time some grass was growing. He agreed that it was not what they expected, some grass showing but lots of bare patches. He gave us two options 1). Start again or 2). Give us our money back. We opted for our money back whoa what a problem that has caused with the salesman and management. We are not getting anywhere at all. But what is clearly happening is that after watering the Chafer Bugs are coming to the surface and the birds etc are feasting on them. Their pest treatment has not worked and these bare patches are where the pest still in the ground have fed and are still feeding. In the meantime we have no lawn, no money refund, no one will come and look at the lawns and no one will return our calls. Services: Grass seeding, Lawn pest control
