Not sure what happened here. Checked the reviews before & they seemed to give it a fair rating. A dour look greeted us as we arrived explaining we were hoping to enjoy our choice of venue. No hello, no welcome, def no smile. The silence, apart from the shrill noise emitting from the transistor radio, was deafening. We ordered & I asked for a receipt but got one which did not list our orders. My dish arrived minus the saveloy. DD noted her hot chocolate tasted like hot milk & she wasnt sure what the other ingredient was but she was sure it wasnt chocolate. The fish was soggy beneath the batter. Not moist or succulent, just wet. Maybe rename the place as The Plaice with no smiles? It was Mothers Day & maybe our expectations were elevated & unrealistic. Sad Mum.
