I've been fond of this little church since my first childhood visit at the age of six. Some 30 years later it still gives me a warm, comfortable feeling. A small, attractive church connected to William Tyndale who was responsible for beginning the translation of the Bible into English. There is a beautiful raised pulpit with spiral steps, a small vestry, an old lidded font and the pews are still in place, thankfully. There is no pipe organ, but a small electronic one and an old upright piano which has had that lovely 'honky-tonk' quality for as long as I can remember! There is limited parking. The grounds are lovely; a small churchyard with well-kept graves and some attractive trees and various shrubs and plants - a nice spot for a picnic. The porch is interesting as the exterior doors are similar in design to those of an old Western Saloon, except they reach the floor! One can see where House Martins sometimes nest in the porch too. Always worth a visit. The guest book is a great read too, with myriad messages written by appreciative visitors from across the globe!
