My partner and I attend Mitton Hall this afternoon for lunch. What an amazing afternoon we had, although there was a wedding on during our time here, you really wouldnt have known. It was quiet, relaxed and such a lovely atmosphere. We had a lovely lady serve us the whole time and she was such a delight ( I wish Id asked her name) we throughly enjoyed our relaxed and not rushed meal. We both had the trio of lamb and wow is all I can say. The lamb was exceptional, so tender and cooked perfectly. I didnt want it to end. The portion size was just enough. It says something about the quality of food being served when its still hot when youre on your last mouthful. Our desserts were lovely, I had the chocolate cremeaux. The raspberry sorbet and fresh raspberries went perfect with the chocolate but was also refreshing. My partner had the up side down peach cake, different but thoroughly enjoyed. Service wasnt rushed and we felt well attended to without the waitress being constantly present at our table or around the area. We will return without a doubt. Only thing I would say it there should be an option for tip to be added when paying via card machine. We really wanted to tip as everything was exceptional, however due to not carrying cash we didnt as there was no option on the card machine.
