Incredible, cosy pub with lots of character and amazing food with the most umami gravy we ve come across for the sunday roast. Wife had monkfish which worked surprisingly well as an alternative to traditional roast meat choices. I had a selection of smaller plates, each one was fresh and interesting. Sorry we accidentally left with the baby bib but we will return it next visit

An absolute gem of a find, we stumbled across this wonderful pub when we were visiting Oxford and managed to get a booking last minute. The setting was lovely, the food was superb and the meal was extremely reasonably priced for the quality that you get. Finally the owner was an exceptional host. In addition to being extremely welcoming and friendly, ensuring the evening ran perfectly, he was very helpful and knowledgeable when it came to the menu / wine. Overall would highly recommend to anyone that wants a wonderful meal, already thinking of booking again!

Would not recommend, terrible service. We were told to wait for 45mins for food and then, after waiting, were informed that the kitchen was closed. Really disappointing experience.

Hands down the best Sunday roast I've had. I have been here a dozen times for food and always been blown away by the experience. The food is amazing, the staff are attentive but not over bearing and the atmosphere is brilliant. Also, they have a pub dog called Monty, now if that isn't enough for you to go then what is?!
