Really nice spot on a bend in the Irwell, South of the Manchester, Bolton and Bury Canal. Formerly an industrial site, now mostly reclaimed by woodland but you can still see evidence of what was once there. Usually fairly quiet and criss-crossed with paths. Can get muddy so might want the appropriate footwear!

What an absolute delight!! Took the dogs down for a walk and there is actually a beach down there overlooking the river, "Costa Del Little Lever".
