Booked my MG EV in for diagnosis as it was displaying some errors upon start up. I was called by the team within a couple of hours of the vehicle having been checked in to say the fault was a "missing part" (front radar unit) and that I'd need to pay 1300 for a replacement and associated fitting costs. I politely declined.
When I collected the car and inspected it, the part was not missing - it had simply become detached and was hanging down inside my front bumper. I reaffixed it in a matter of minutes at home without any tools. All errors went away and all functionality returned.
I wrote an complained about this on 30/3/23. As at 28/4/23 I've still not had a response from the group despite a promise from the branch manager (Martyn Chess) that he'd email me by 26/4/23 having chased 3 times. I finally received a call from Martyn on the 28/4/23 (after 4th chase) who apologised and accepted his engineers could have done exactly as I had done and advised me of their actions at no cost.
Extraordinarilly poor service in my view. I shan't be using them, nor any of the Glyn Hopkin group again as I have no trust they'll do anything other than what earns them more money, rather than prioritising the customer and building trust.
