We booked Luke to fit our new kitchen. Unfortunately, he has left us with an incomplete kitchen thats only 80% finished and has not returned to finish the job. He has ignored our many calls and messages now for over 4 weeks. Unfortunately, we made the mistake of paying him for the whole job and, once paid, he hasnt bothered to come back to finish it. Even when he was working for us, what was a 5-day job took 10 days because of constant days off, not turning up, or leaving early. Shame, as his work was ok when here. He has left some damage to panels that now needs to be fixed but all could have been rectified if he had just spoken to us, or turned up to finish the job. I would avoid.

LP home improvements: Avoid - definitely not carpenters or experienced kitchen fitters! The work they carried out was dangerous - disconnected our gas cooker and left us with a slow gas leak, so we had to pay a plumber to cap the leak. Rather than hard wiring the kitchen appliances they connected the oven, warming drawer and microwave into a multiple block plug extension which was dangerous and could have caused a fire. We again had to pay a qualified electrician to rectify the situation - who was horrified and wanted to report them. They put up 3 floating shelves which were not equal distance or length apart and covered them in some sticky varnish, which meant that we had to get someone to remove the shelves and replaster the wall. Luke told us that he was a preferred Howdens kitchen fitter which we know not to be true, as Howdens do not recommend tradesmen. They used the wrong paint to paint a sideboard, again they said Brewers the paint shop had told them what to use, when we called Brewers to clarify they said they would never recommend that type of paint on a wooden sideboard. We had to have a carpenter to look at some of the work they carried out only to be told the the cupboard end panels had been glued on rather than screwed on, and if we wanted them changed we would have to buy new cupboards rather than just change the end panels (the carpenters were not sure why anyone would glue side panels on), plus they also discover that the kick boards had been wedged in rather than secured with clips. So following Lukes work we had to employ a plumber, carpenter, electrician and plasterer to correct all their mistakes. A very unsatisfactory and costly experience.

Luke and his team fitted my new kitchen. I'm so so pleased with the outcome! They completed it within the time scale they first said they would. They were very helpful and even sorted out other small jobs for me whist here e.g. hanging a new mirror and clock etc. I couldn't possibly recommend them enough! Thanks luke and keiren for all the hard work!!!
