Wheel bearing went on the way home, they did replace the part, i had to have it fitted (no problem all sorted)
Just after Christmas / early 2023 i started to notice clutch issues. Pedal disappearing / only having half a pedal. had it inspected and told needs at least a new clutch kit.
Contacted Canfield Garage with this and told "It's a wear and tear part no warranty covers this" I would of accepted this answer if it was 3+ months into owning the car, even on a second hand car 5 years old and only done 58k miles
Absolutely no offer of assistance with the cost of replacing the clutch and slave cylinder set, the car also needed a Dual Mass Flywheel.
Total bill - 1100
Would not recommend, Avoid and go else where

We went there looking for an SUV and there were at least 3 there (which were all excellent) that we considered. We ended up buying a BMW X3 in near perfect condition. They MOT'd the vehicle before we picked it up and fixed any advisories (of which there was a steering track rod) at their cost, and replaced the brake discs/pads even though they weren't even advised. Afterwards, the car has generally been brilliant. However we notice one issue in that the car would follow all the ruts in the road and wander quite a lot. I emailed Canfield and they came straight back to me (within an hour!) and agreed to let me take the car to get a Hunter alignment at their cost, and if it didn't fix the issue to bring it back and they would fix it under warranty.
Happily the alignment completely fixed the issue - but we were very impressed with the after care, responsiveness from them and the confidence they inspired that they were more than happy to fix the issue without having to fight/argue as you do with many many other garages.
