I cannot fault Marsh Industries Ltd. They have a good reputation with their product and had we known, or had copies of the paperwork when the shared sewage treatment plant was installed, we could have saved ourselves from a lot of trouble and expense. Marsh on the basis of what we experienced and the fact that the company, not connected to them, voided our warranty, paid the final bill, when all we were seeking was confirmation that the warranty was now nullified due to the actions of the company that carried out the repairs. Also that if the company had contacted them, would they have been able to advise how to effect proper repair without damaging the unit. There are not many manufacturers that would stand by their product and customer in the world, let alone the UK like this. All I can say is what a stand up company and MD. To give some background and substance to the above, this is what happened. We shared a domestic sewage system with our neighbour which had to be replaced approximately 7 years ago. Our insurance companies paid for the installation of a Marsh Sewage Treatment Unit, along with our substantial excesses, which worked well for 4 years. Every spring we carried out emptying and services. After the first year the installer of the unit refused to continue servicing because their operation base was too far away and our then neighbours were put onto another company by them to continue the work. A short time after the installation of our Marsh unit, our village had mains sewers put in, but the neighbours at the time refused to allow the connection point to be put on our shared property. Soon after they moved. This meant we continued with the unit as the cost to join the main sewer was rather high. From the fifth year something seemed to go wrong with the unit almost annually, with something having to be replaced or repaired, according to this company. Last year was the worst the costs of emptying and carrying out repairs mounted up. The last expensive repairs carried out by this company not once by twice. They constantly maligned Marsh Industries Units, but only verbally and blamed their poor quality of equipment for the failures. In the end they drilled holes through the dividing baffle plates of each chamber to balance the flow and made no attempt to inform us or contact Marsh for advice. I could not believe this as I had researched Marsh Industries Ltd's Sewage Treatment Units and found that they were of high quality, with many accreditations and highly regarded write-ups. I cannot believe the negative reviews I have seen on here, but would certainly recommend Marsh Industries. Had we been given the paperwork by our ex-neighbours we would have known to contact them and they would have come out and repaired the unit under the warranty. Whether you are using a Marsh unit or not, always go to the manufacturer first and ask for advice is the important and costly lesson I learnt. My thanks and gratitude to Marsh Industries for answering my questions and for settling my outstanding account with a company that clearly is out of it's depth. Service: Septic system installation
