I have used the Liss branch for the funeral of my Father last year and am dealing with them for my Mother's funeral in June 2021. I can't praise the service and compassionate support received on both occasions. The funerals were covered by a plan my Parents took out years ago, but there was no pushing for extras etc. At a very sad and trying time they made the process that bit easier.

It was dreadful on so many levels: The funeral director was never in evidence. The manager who attempted to handle things was totally unprofessional. He wore slippers, did not offer a cup of coffee, did not know where the village was, could not source a grave-digger (a friend ended up digging the grave), he wanted the person who dug the grave to supply the webbing needed to lower the coffin), the pall bearers looked as if they had never done this before and certainly didn't fit the suits they were wearing. The person being buried had been paying into the scheme for 40 years and had worked at the Coop for 22. The only thing they were efficient with was gathering monies. The only service they provided was to provide service sheets, store the body and drive it 3 miles up the road to the church. All other support and advice was provided by friends. It was distressing and disgraceful and of no comfort to the bereaved.
