Brilliant kit at prices a state school can afford - we've been able to buy so much gear for our DofE students to help them out and make sure everyone can participate. Fast delivery and good communication too - can't fault it.

I run a DofE expeditions AAP company and we've been using AccessKit for over 3 years now. So glad we changed over from Vango/Trangia as the equipment has proved more robust, parts more reasonably priced and stock/stores more easy to manage. Was really pleased to see they now offer Refuge in a 400, so that now teams can do a 300 and 400 instead of 3x300 thus stripping 4.2Kg from a set of team kit. Also, great to see that flysheet and inners can be purchased separately now so that I dont have to buy a full new tent as I can keep old pole sets. In the past, I'd have retired a whole batch of tents that would actually have contained some new, replacement parts mixed in as it was too much of a job to track those parts or separate them out. Such a waste. It now allows me to consider not retiring batches of tents but instead just replacing the parts that have worn or damaged. Some of my tents / tent parts get more use (kit boxes 1 to 5). Parts get mixed up on camp or during drying at stores. Ive not bothered with ID on each tent for stores management as it has no benefit to me. Now instead, I dont need to worry about new parts getting mixed in with old parts, I can just have spares on hand for everything on expeds and also when drying tents at stores, we can look more closely and retire parts. Probably a lot less waste created as it prevents good parts from being thrown out. The Lava cookers are heavier than a trangia 25 but this means the parts don't deform when kids sit on their bags. The bottoms of pots don't warp as easily, making them easier to clean. Haven't lost a handle or strap as their bright orange. Trangia buckles rust after a few years - these ones can be washed. And the strap slots don't get crushed. Keep up the good work.
