Best pies Ive ever had.

I had an amazing meal here with my parents recently. Id definitely recommend the steak and stilton pie which was the standout one for all of us. The chips were excellent and the flavoured mash also really made a difference. The deserts were a very good size and very tasty. I havent had jam roly-poly for at least 25 years I wouldnt hesitate to go back again - its just unfortunate we were only passing through and it cant be a regular thing.

No complaints at all! All food was really good, lovely atmosphere and it so cute inside! All the ladies working there were lovely too

The venison pie was PHENOMENAL! Would recommend to serve it with the Horseradish mash (absolute winner of a mash and very unique). Pork belly was delious too served with the mustard mash (another absolute winner of a mash). Roly poly was delightful. Sticky toffee was lovely but a tad too much lime (yes you read right lime that's the twist) for my liking, but I am sure others would love it. Would like to see a few more ales available but if that is my biggest complaint then you can see how excellent that I think this place is. Wonderful and very friendly service. Highly recommend!

I was researching lunch places for a day trip in Lincoln and Browns Pie Shop was consistently found on lists and websites of recommended places to eat so we decided to give it a go. The place is unassuming and disclaimer that I myself am not a huge pie person. But the food here absolutely surpassed my expectations and changed how I feel about a good pie. I ordered the special venison pie and it was jam packed with filling and flavour. The inside was filled to the brim with meaty pieces of tasty venison. I upgraded to a side of triple cooked chips and they were some of the best chips Ive ever had - fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside. My partner and his dad both got different types of flavoured mash and both were bursting with flavour. Its well worth the additional 1 for the upgrade. I tried bites of the other pies and all were scrumptious. You can taste all the ingredients that they advertise on the menu. I especially enjoyed the beef and Stilton as the cheese flavour was exceptionally strong. You can tell the kitchen doesnt skimp on ingredients and you get exactly what the menu suggests. There was also a good variety of veg to accompany our pies and chips / mash. The pies arent huge but I was full after licking every last bit off my plate. The best surprise was at the end as we ordered two puddings to share between the four of us. Its not often that a restaurant does main meals and desserts to such a high standard so I was blown away but how delicious the puddings were. We got raspberry roly poly and sticky toffee pudding - two standard British desserts. These were arguably the best versions of the pudding Ive ever had. The portions were huge and the flavours were exceptional. I highly recommend not skipping out on puddings! My tip is to go in with no expectations and to enjoy the amazing dining experience. Its a no fuss place that delivers on quality and its clear the staff care a lot about the food they serve. Im already thinking ahead to when I can visit again next!
