Duke William Hotel

Came for dinner on Sunday evening - the place was obviously very busy, but the staff were cheerful and helpful; although they did need reminding to bring another water glass. The souffl was lovely but very filling so I struggled with my burger. However the chips were dry and cardboardy, as if they were left over from earlier - we weren't a late sitting - 19.15. Glad the side salad was crisp and refreshing.

Came to the restaurant on Sunday afternoon with family from overseas. Great ambiance, with all staff pleasant and polite. The food was excellent, both in content and quantity. Service was a little slow, but the restaurant was very busy, and we didn't have to wait too long, so no complaints there. Overall, a great meal. We will be back. Walkability: The main reason for booking lunch here was (after the food) it's proximity to the Cathedral and the Castle. Five minutes slow stroll will take you to both.

The outstanding part of lunch at Duke William was the service . All the young people who served us at the bar and at the table were friendly and professional . The food was good , great value for money . Food & drinks: Good food , great value .
