Had a damp survey done in January for our new home at a cost of 180 . This failed to find out that one wall in our kitchen was sodden. It was so damp that our plumber could not fix our new boiler to this wall. I've complained, but the Area Manager thinks that it is fine for a professional survey to overlook massive damp problems. Don't waste your time or money. UPDATE - Took my complaint further to Head Office. They don't care either. Apparently I should have contacted them earlier. Funny that it took them 4 weeks to reply to my original email... UPDATE 2 - They seem to think that their reply below has sorted the problem. These people have no idea about damp or customer service. They hide behind the name of Peter Cox but are owned by Rentokil. Charlatans.

I had to arrange the work from 200 miles away for my 87 year old mother in Nottingham. Absolutely brilliant service from booking the initial inspection survey, to arranging the works and having it carried out and then settling the final account. The quality of workmanship was extremely high with lots of care and attention taken which meant little or no clearing up just a quick dust and vacuum. A friendly approachable team, who were happy to discuss and explain the whole process. I can't recommend Peter Cox Ltd. highly enough.

I bought a house and the seller of the house got a survey done on woodworm which my homebuyers survey picked up on. Peter Cox didnt check their records if the house has been treated by them in the past. So I paid 601 for the woodworm treatment and then found warranties for woodworm, damp and plasterboard. Once I emailed Peter Cox with the references of each warranty it was ignored. They are happy to take your money but customer aftercare is very poor. Takes ages to talk to someone and once you get through they then ignore you. Still waiting on them to get back to me after a month of my first email regarding warranties. Very poor service. Update: In short PC can't find records of my house being treated although we have a certificate from them. It almost felt like it was my fault that they had lost their paperwork. The area manager wasn't not very helpful and just discarded the issue.
