Strange, look at this tea shop from Castle Hill, on the corner with Steep Hill, next to Olivares, and what notice is no name, at least I could see no name. I thought it had closed down, no chairs outside, no plants in the planters, though the planters every time I passed by were full of rubbish from the eyesore marshmallow shop a little way down Steep Hill. Maybe closes early. I learnt when I did find open, closed for January, a wise move as no one around January. A cappuccino, rip off price, charging the same as specialty coffee in Madame Waffle or Coffee Aroma, for inferior coffee. Cappuccino with chocolate on top. Why oh why do not understand, do NOT dump chocolate on a cappuccino? The long row of syrups on the counter should have set off alarm bells. Do not put syrups in coffee. Syrups are used to mask vile undrinkable coffee. Otherwise would ruin a good coffee. Coffee in takeaway cup. I don't want a takeaway cup. I pointed to seats and tables. We only do takeaway cups. I walked out, poured my coffee down the drain. What to do with the takeaway cup? I could have left on the outside tables. No bin for the takeaway cups. If left on the table it would have blown away, adding to the rubbish from the marshmallow shop. I walked to the bin the other side of Castle Hill. The coffee from Stokes. If wish for Stokes, walk through Lincoln Castle, entry free, out of the West Gate, Stokes at the Lawn, diagonally opposite to the left. If love coffee, three choices. Seven Districts: Head down East Gate, Post Office on the corner of Bailgate, head to the end, cross at the traffic lights, keep going, bear left at the fork in the road, turn left into the tennis courts. Madame Waffle and Coffee Aroma, head down Steep Hill into the city centre. I can see why attracts 1* reviews, more than well deserved.

Tea served in disposable cardboard cups. No toilet facilities. Expensive for what it is. What went for tea( bags) was pretty tasteless. Milk for the tea also served in cardboard cup
