Burton and Wilson

A refreshing change to the usual experience of garages who seem to have little care in finding the cause of an issue and instead just fob you off of throw random parts as a problem and hope for the best. Here, you get integrity and knowledge - straight to the issue, communicate the findings with the customer and put it right. I had a number of things needing doing from a new Intercooler, AC Condenser, new Glow Plugs an intermittent Engine System Service Required message and an inefficient handbrake. Previously the car had a full main Volvo service record - having many thousands spent on it over the years - Ive continued keeping this XC70 in good mechanical order but struggled with garages who having inspected the car throughly and would assure me it had no issues. Yet I continued to have an inefficient handbrake, hard cold starts, and engine system messages appear on dash and obvious problems with things like the Condenser for AC being damaged and clearly the worst for wear. Then I find the solution - Burton & Wilson who figured it all out once and for all. Reasonable labour costs, decent parts used and even showing you on collection the old parts and reasons for failure. I can throughly recommend this garage if youre a Volvo owner. My only tiny gripe was some of the small niggles got missed from my list - but they are small and dont effect running of the car (tyres not rotated to even out wear as just an example). However, this is small fry and Ill be back in the future to have servicing done and would recommend this garage to anyone as Im sure will see you right whatever your make.

A suspension mount failed on my Volvo on Friday and not being able to get the car to my normal workshop which is some distance away it needed a local repair. A colleague had recommended Burton & Wilson so thought Id give them a try and was very impressed. Phil advised to order the part from the main dealer which arrived over the weekend and he fitted it on Monday. Hed been fully booked up until the new year but made space for this job (and also replacing a faulty USB port). The price was very fair and the car is now fixed far quicker than I couldve hoped for.
