Walkability: Close walking distance to the cathedral, castle and main shopping areas. Noteworthy details: An old chapel that housed the bishops of Lincoln as mentioned on a plaque on the castle wall walk.

We stayed here for two nights in two rooms, a beautiful double room for us and a single room for our daughter. Our double was amazing immaculately presented with a lovely window. The single room also well presented. Staff on arrival were helpful and the gated parking was also a bonus. Breakfast is a continental bag placed on your room door handle at the time you request, along with tea and coffee making facilities, milk and juice in your fridge it's more than adequate. The Old Palace Lodge is situated almost at the top of Steep Hill and is ideally situated for visits to the Cathedral and the Castle. Loved this place, would definitely stay again.
