Aviva Investors are the landlord of my building. Over 10 years they have been unprofessional, utterly unresponsive and regularly failed us as homeowners. Their representatives Rendall and Rittner and Mainstay Group are equally as bad. I have tried to complain on more than one occasion but found my complaints are buried in an administrative process that ensures customers will never recieve a response. Most recently Aviva served ground rent payment requests on a property that I was no longer occupying as a result of the pandemic. Rather than call or email me to chase payment, Aviva instructed debt collectors who were rude and threatening. I have never once missed a ground rent payment in the 10 years I have owned the property and the process has damaged my otherwise clean credit rating. Unlike Aviva, the debt collectors did call and email me and as a result received a response within 1 hour. Had Aviva had the courtesy to do the same the matter could have been resolved with the same expediency. Instead the experience has cost me an additional 300 of late fees and charges at a time of ongoing financial stress caused by the pandemic. My advice to homeowners would be to avoid Aviva at all cost. Their claim to care for their customers is utter nonsense.
