we were disappointed. Service I'm afraid not good . Sloppy and lacking any finesse. Food mediocre and cold . I really think you need to up your game .Wouldn't recommend.

We visited the George Hotel today for lunch to celebrate my sisters birthday. We were extremely disappointed to find that they are now only offering pub grub rather than freshly cooked offerings gs befitting a hotel restaurant. Rather expensive pub grub which would be a lot cheaper in an actual pub!! We had to send the chips back as they were almost cold and we were overcharged for one of the drinks my husband had by 50p, the first bottle was 3.70 the 2nd 4.20 for the same beer, same size! The George in Lichfield used to be a beautiful hotel serving first class food. Sadly no more. We will now be looking for somewhere else to dine in Lichfield.
