My 90 year old parents came in for eye tests. My mother needed new glasses so she ordered a new pair and a spare pair which were paid for in full. We were told to expect a phone call on the following Saturday to advise us that the glasses were ready to collect before going to the store. By Saturday afternoon no call had been received so my husband phoned them to see if the two pairs of glasses were in. He was told they were in the store and ready to collect but my parents had not been phoned because the store was too busy to ring. My father went to collect the glasses today, Monday as it is easier to park. When he got to the store they could only find one pair which he came away with. He is 90 and does not know how to complain and insist that the second pair becfound so that he has not made a wasted trip. When he got back with one pair of glasses my husband phoned the store to be told yes the other pair were there ready to collect. My husband has therefore gone back to the store to get the second pair of glasses. What a wasted trip into lichfield for my father. I really do not think this store knows what it is doing. One wonders if they are actually competent to test peoples eyes.
