I recently went to this cheese shop, having frequented establishments such as Teddington Cheese, I was expecting good things. However, the man who runs the shop is ghastly. Avoid

The owner is known to be incredibly rude to his customers. It's a shame because the cheese selection seems alright.

Awful experience! Popped into the cheese cavern lichfield excited to try and find a french cheese I'd tried at a dinner party, and on enquiring about it, the man in the shop didn't make any attempt whatsoever to assist me or be friendly at all, but bizarrely mocked my pronunciation sarcastically, and turned his back! I was quite taken aback by this, it's not what I expected at all, and I wondered what I had done to deserve it. Later on, I posted the incident in my frienship group chat, and two of my friends remarked that the man had also been incredibly rude to them previously. This made me feel a bit better, since it clearly was him and not me, and he's just a weird and very rude man, and then one of them showed me the shop's official twitter account which, unbelievably, contains non-consensual photographs of people from other cultures in the street, taken from inside the store, remarking that there are too many of them, ruining the area! Quite why anyone would publish such views publicly, I have no idea. This, along with the terrible attitude shown to many of us, illustrates the owners of this establishment to be very unpleasant people who should not be in the customer service business at all, and I certainly would never go back (obviously!). Not what you expect from a cheese shop in our lovely locality, avoid the cheese cavern lichfield, is all I can say. Total opposite of my recent visit to the Cheese Gin and Ale Barn which was wonderful in every respect.
