This firm is NOT one that you should choose in the event you end up on the wrong side of the law and need legal assistance, particularly if legal aid is required. They care little for the interests of their clients, in my opinion. I have been trying to get the name of a barrister who did not turn up in court to defend me (This was actually the firm GCR that they have now acquired). My e-mails are not dealt with in a timely fashion and they are trying to distance themselves from their responsibilities. For your own good avoid this firm. Granted, this was all due to GCR solicitors who's defence was almost non-existent. Could not contact them in the month leading up to trial to enquire about preparation. I never met with a barrister before trial and was not advised at all regarding how a trial works and what I should do if anything. One Legal acquired GCR solicitors therefore I am now relying on them to correspond with me to establish what happened yet it seems they do not and will not take any form of responsibility for providing the name of the person who did not turn up in court and effectively left me there with no defence and no advice whatsoever. I'm disgusted with GCR and also the way that One Legal have dealt with things since my complaints began.
