Clifford Dann were negligent. We are a leasee exiting a commercial property. They held onto our rental deposit for 9 months in breach of lease. After failing to provide any sort of coherent responses to my calls/emails I filed a civil court claim against the Landlord. My case was strong and the landlord was forced to settle which cost him around 2k more than it would have done if Clifford Dann had stuck to normal, honest protocol (ie paid me back the deposit minus defaults within 56 days) I can't imagine the landlord is too happy with the outcome and I would have preferred not to spend 9 months chasing people who were brazenly trying to delay/ignore the process. I'm trying to figure out whether this scenario has been the result of incompetence, laziness or outright nefarious dishonesty but it comes off the back of a string of questionable actions by James Groves so seems like it's the latter.

If I could give them zero stars I would. Avoid like the plague. Mr Dann would be turning over in his grave with what's happened to his company. Those in charge are the worst, totally useless and zero professionalism. Arrogant liars.

If there was a zero that is what i would give this unethical and incompetent company . As private tenants we have no choice but to deal with these people as they are the landlord's appointed agent. They will stop at nothing and we have been at the receiving end of their relentless harassment. They have no integrity, they are dishonest , unprofessional and utterly incompetent.

Clifford Dann provide the worst service imaginable as Managing Agents. Theyre incompetent and insincere and they don't respond or communicate in a timely fashion and often don't respond at all. They do a shoddy job and deliver an incompetent service, refuse to take responsibility, blanking communication about the many problems they cause. They charge astronomical maintenance fees for a less than mediocre service such as window cleaning that fails to even happen. Their knowledge is outdated drivel and therefore can't solve real problems. Clifford Dann has a huffy and arrogant cant do attitude, they dont communicate effectively and their huge incompetence is only matched by their enormously inflated fees.
