        Staff are very friendly and willing to answer any questions. The reasons I gave 4 and not 5 stars are: the grounds need a bit more upkeep, in the centre of the grounds, it is weedy (tall weeds) and untidy, this did not put us off, just an observation. The menu was a choice of pies, mash and peas, or nothing. We were planning on eating there both nights we stayed but didn't really fancy pie and mash 2 days in a row. The toilets were regularly blocking up, including the sluice. This wasn't very nice. Apart from these small minors, we had an enjoyable stay and went on a lovely local walk with our dogs.
