Some of the best deserts we have eaten in a long time. Beautifully presented and truly delicious. Mains and starters as good as might be found, all made on site. As should be the case they have a few standard dishes, burger ( vegetarian available), fish and chips, steak, then a pleasing selection of others not always seen. The menu changes frequently do look for the novelties.
A good choice or beers, well kept, too many wines and a decent gin menu completes the offer.
As many Covid precautions as can be tolerated are in use.
It may be a little off the beaten track but make the trip if within 20 minutes drive, or make it the centre of a day out. Booking in advance recommended.
A word of warning, Sunday lunchtimes are very busy. If you prefer a little bit less noise go another day. The menu choices are also a little better if you like a more exciting selection, it's not that the roasts aren't good, but they are just roasts and there's much more to meat than roasting it.
