        We thought Guysfield would be my uncle's forever home. He has end of life dementia, which comes with challenging behaviour at times. Guysfield assured us and our social worker that they were a specialist dementia care home and could deal with this. Four weeks ago, we were served notice (without waiting for the mental health team's assessment). No consultation with the family and the manager advised his decision was final. It appears that Pawel and the team only want to deal with "stable" residents who can be "managed". We were heartbroken and found ourselves having to find a new care home with the prospect of eviction on Christmas Day. Luckily we found a wonderful home that truly does know how to handle dementia. We have a promise that he will be there for the rest of his short life. We know this to be true because they have taken another resident from Guysfield, who has "challenging behaviour". There seems to be a pattern in Guysfield. An eviction can also be served if the family are too "challenging".

        Guysfield Care home provide a safe, and caring environment for their residents and all their staff are truly lovely and treat everyone with the utmost respect. Highly recommended.
