Absolutely love my garden office! Would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the poor customer service :( I had problems with being contacted to place the order - nearly 4 months wait before having to chase to place the order. Then once the building was up and various "snag list" items needing to be repaired - although eventually came to repair, again poor customer services and I have had to constantly chase. I am still pending issues to be resolved which was notified over 1 month ago. The building has been up for a while now and one of the internal walls and ceiling panels has movement - this is a concern, as no other panels move. Note that there is an option for lights on the overhang - but ridiculously the switch is on the inside of the building and no consideration of providing options for "other ways" of being able to switch on/off. If needed for light to get in and out of the building, how do you turn it off once away from the building? I queried this afterwards and was told that I would have to get an electrician to address this! No consideration given to the fact that this had been overlooked on their side and it would have been nice if they offered to fit the switch - providing I purchased the switch. I have a switch and now have to go out of my way to find an electrician to fit the switch - unnecessary inconvenience for me, when their electrician could have been sent to easily fit as they are familiar with the building. Also one of the bulbs in the lights in the overhang is fading already and I can't change the bulb because the unit fitted prohibits changing bulbs and the whole unit will need to be replaced! Customer Service not as expected considering how much has been spent on the building and the guarantee with the building. Seems as though only 1 person is the point of contact even though a team of people behind the scenes - 1 point of contact is great providing that person remembers you and the list of things required for your building - this is the biggest problem I have faced along with lack of communication! Very very very disappointed! :(

Very pleased with Modulus from start to finish. So easy to configure the size and layout you want and Gary was very helpful all the way through. Installation was super quick and we now have an amazing garden room that we love to work in every day.

The job from start to finish was as smooth as anything. From a solid base, to the landscape around the building, the guys went out of their way to ensure every little aspect of it was done to a really high standard (which given the fussiness of at least one of the clients was very much appreciated). Due to a little bit of internal movement after a month, there was some small marks in the ceiling which the guys came back and sorted for us, just to keep it looking amazing. Can't recommend these guys enough, and to the 3 awesome installers we had, may your tea cup always overflow.

Fantastically well looked after - exceptional build quality and value for money. I approached Modulus when researching building a woodworking workshop in my garden as I was very taken by the sleek look and maintenance free structure afforded by the coated steel frame. I didn't want a wooden building and was impressed by the thermal insulation and trouble free care this structure offers. The main contact Gary and designer Andrew embraced the challenge of modifying what has been traditionally a garden office design into a more robust and industrial looking workshop. The modular nature meant I could elect to have a 5X3 building. We swapped out laminate floors for a strenthened 25m thick plywood foor so my lathe wont bounce around and the walls and ceilings were replaced with ply also so I can screw tools and machinery in place. Such is the beauty of the finish, having had the wall panels and floor sprayed with non-yellowing Osmo varnish my workshop looks like a well manicured operating theatre! Install team builders Harrison and Morgan also need special mention by name as they were utterly wonderful. The site was kept immaculate and the attention to detail in the finish was spectacular. As this was a variation on the standard design everyone got their heads together to plan the final finishes. The Modulus build team also includes Liam who is a delightful, very thorough and skillful electrician (ably assisted by Reece). I upped my spec 3 times to get in the end enough power to future proof the workshop incase my wife allowed me to buy some bigger machines (next year it seems) so I have 3 16A sockets with C Breakers and an outside 16A circuit. Upping the cable to 10mm from standard 4 was a modest sum to enable future development. Swapping the regular ceiling lights for 600x600 LED panels has given me perfect shadow free lighting across the workshop as well as having 2 complete panels of glass and the french windows. This has resulted in a wonderful space for creativity with great views out across the fields. Gary (a self confessed stickler for detail) has been absoloutely fantastic in taking my ideas and improving on them. He has even made me promise to remake some of the trolleys I had made out of old pallets for my ancient pillar drill and bandsaw in the same style of finish as the 18mm ply, beautifully cut to order by John in the workshop - my first task when I've got the layout settled internally! I am so delighted with the build that, when fully sorted (with my new trolleys) I hope my workshop will take pride of place on the Modulus website demonstrating the versatility of the concept and the engagement of the design team.
