    Absolutely disgusting. My mum was exchanging with a young family in a bungalow in desperate need of something bigger, yes she's now passed away but you could put my sister in their home temporary and let the family have the home they need

    My wife just phoned up to ask when our toilet would be repaired, only to have the phone put down on her for having the cheek to ask!.. This is totally appalling and unacceptable behaviour! The receptionist that took the call was called Jessica, and as you say all calls are recorded and monitored I suggest that you listen to the conversation and then carry out the appropriate disciplinary on her, which in my opinion should be Instant Dismissal for gross misconduct. In the meantime I will also be sending this to our local MP Oliver Heald & will be filing a case against you at the small claims court, for Breach of contract!

    Just had the most RACIST woman on the phone from repairs saying MIXED RACE people are RUDE & PATRONISING! refused to give name and then hung up! Leave you living in mould for years. Most repairs been outstanding several years had to send pictures along with GP blood test reports to local mp.

    Avoid this organisation. My advice to anyone thinking of becoming a Settle tenant is this: As a Council tenant before North Herts Homes bought the stock and then eventually changed their name to Settle I can confirm that the service has gone steadily downhill. As a registered disabled person going through endless medical issues and experiencing extreme harassment by one neighbour you would have thought my landlord or neighbourhood officer would do anything they could to help. Sadly, they did the opposite. After years of extremely poor treatment, breaching my privacy and inhumane action taken by Settle employees I eventually had to leave my home of 17 years, my beloved garden and local community. I had to find somewhere else to live that had nothing to do with Settle. I had to organise moving home whilst still in recovery from major surgery. They flip flop between responding to some reports/complaints but not to others. It appears they pick and choose what complaints to respond to or make public so they can keep trying to look good on paper. They maintain they are a considerate and caring landlord when in fact they are a destructive and arrogant group of people who wont admit when they have made terrible mistakes and made conscious choices that have ruined lives. Negligence, prejudice and ignorance can kill people. Its a miracle Im still alive after what they have put me through. What Settle employees have done and are continuing to do to their customers is criminal. During a safeguarding investigation by Social Services, Settle said if I wasnt happy with their behaviour I could take it to the Ombudsman. When our local MP got involved Settle lied to him and told him if I wasnt happy with their behaviour I should take it to the Ombudsman. See the pattern? Instead of take responsibility for the awful damage they have done they keep forcing disabled and extremely unwell human beings to endure further stress and putting their fragile health in more jeopardy. This is my warning to all current or prospective Settle customers. Bear in mind that they are a business. Their aim is to generate income. They are not interested in the welfare of the people they make that income through. My story is not unique. Settles negligent attitude is fairly widespread. I predict they will either: 1. Not respond to this review at all. or 2. Suggest I call their customer services or post some utter nonsense about having tried to support me in the past. or 3. Try to discredit me or bring up personal and irrelevant but private information. or 4. Continue harassing me at my new registered address. Avoid this organisation and their employees. *Addition after seeing Settles dismissive response to my 1* review. 1. Your customer resolution team have ignored my advocates most recent contact. 2. If youre happy to be in contact or call to discuss this matter then why havent you done it up until now? Your response is further indication of how you bend the truth to suit you. I stand by my original review in its entirety.
