Delightful 17th century historuc building with huge original ornate fireplaces in the main building and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Our garden suite in the old annex was utterly superb Huge suite with dining table to suit 6 guests, fully stocked libary and original patio doors leading to the garden plus two massive bedrooms This is my 2nd time at this hotel and staying in the old part was certainly the best decision as stayed in the newer side yrs ago. Holly and Samantha went out of their way to make up stay even more comfortable. We've booked again in May as simply love the fact it's only 26 miles from London and less than 2 miles from the delightful historical town of Hitchin which is buzzing with bars and Resturants and market stalls. Bonus DOG FRIENDLY TOO and does not cost the earth to take pooch with you.
