CIGA guarantee means absolute zero. I bought a house which had a CIGA 25 year warranty but realised after moving in that the insulation was poor at best. I contacted CIGA and they sent out a person who did an absolute pathetic job to evaluate. I later sent CIGA thermal images of the outside of my house in the winter which proved there was no insulation as the images clearly showed each exterior wall/side of the house was bright red which meant heat was leaking out everywhere. CIGA said this is normal and does not prove that the insulation is not there. Honestly what more proof do they need. This company should be struck off as they clearly do not fulfil their warranty statement.

Not sure what they guarantee here, I've had this free blown in insulation done by MarkGroup and found out half of the walls hasn't been done at all, other parts of the building cavities were filled partially, empty either at the top or at the bottom. Whole 6m long extension wall and a half of neighbouring wall also hasn't been filled in at all. Pathetic quality loft roll was 200mm thick for the first year now returned to about 100mm or less... Obviously I've had to insulate the roof slopes myself because they've said "the heat goes up, so no need to insulate the slope" ( which is a half of the ceiling, each room) British "quality" and "british engineers" without an engineering degree... I have had an "audit" made by CIGA inspector and instead of coming with a thermal camera to investigate properly, the guy came with a drill and borescope. He drilled my walls here and there and said: here is empty , on there is good, but here well, we don't really do this... Wow! about 30-50cm of the wall by the ceiling has no insulation, black rot is coming out inside every winter, you are very happy to claim this house is "insulated" , but "you don't really do this" ... again "british quality". What if you have drilled next to a massive hole with no insulation? He discovered 3 randomly...You will still say its great right?? , because you can only see around your drilled hole.. When it comes to the parts of the wall he said is filled in, I can confirm I've had a window off, and I have seen an empty cavity all the way to the ground. You have no MM case because I am not stupid enough to share my name on the Internet!!! Exposing sham insulation and sham audit could cost me my claim isn't that correct??
