Afrikana Leicester

We had high hopes for this place but ended up being very disappointed. The service was quick, but the restaurant was very quiet anyway. We ordered the boneless banquet which looked quite promising, but found multiple pieces of bone in the chicken thighs which wasn't pleasant. The chicken breasts were extremely dry and difficult to cut/chew. The coating of the fried chicken fillets had a foul sour taste, we thought this might've been the mixed peri sauce that it was coated in, but the other chicken did not have this taste. The only things we enjoyed were the sides (fries, halloumi fries, mac and cheese) and the chick'n bites, but even then these were quite average. Overall we weren't impressed and we won't be returning.

Tried their vegetarian/vegan menu. Absolutely delicious. Welcoming and friendly staff. Definitely go back to try other dishes and different souces Highly recommended.

The food here is wonderful and so full of flavour! Everything was incredibly tasty and the drinks were wonderful. I loved that they were non alcoholic too, they did a brilliant job making the flavours pop without alcohol. Brilliant presentation on drinks and food, fantastic tastiness all round. Decor was incredible and the staff were very helpful when discussing dietary requirements. Absolutely loved it!

Such lovely customer service as we was a large group of 14 people. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Such a delight to see. Highly recommend this place.
