Student Roost - Newarke Street

If i could give it 0 stars i would. i had plenty of problems with the room and flat. it was dirty on arrival and took 2 terms to fix the pipe in our kitchen. i had to do my dishes in the shower but it still look a month for them to get someone in. edit for the reply: I did contact someone in the reception and they told me to bug off and that someone would come fix it when they could when our kitchen was literally flooding. Since it didnt bother the flat underneath you guys didnt bother fixing it. "its not like you guys dont have hot water so its not an emergency"

Very deceiving. Overpriced. Would not recommend at all. They gave me a room with a broken window, lied all year saying theyll fix it and never did, now theyre making excuses about missing parts without even having one check occur of my room. They also charged me way more than my flatmates (who dont have a broken window) and refuse to take any responsibility. Other bonuses include fake advertisement on the website, theyll show a tv in the main room but youll get a tv stand with no tv. Everything about this this is deceptive and the managers dont even speak to headquarters for any issues to be resolved. Maintenance is non existent. No one reads the notes they always seem to be making whenever you ask for something serious to get taken care of. Its clear Jamie thinks he can get away with lying about procedures that never occurred and has no idea about the fact that no contractor visited my flat, possibly allowing people to enter flats without notice or just disregarding our safety as student due to lack of record keeping/taking permission before allowing staff to enter flats. Oh and hell give a a room that doesnt even have a fixed window, so make sure you get to see the room before you move in.
