Im so thankful that we found Banana Moon! I have 2 children who attend 5 days a week. Our eldest is very shy and I was very worried about how hed settle into this new setting (especially taking Covid into account) but the team have been amazing. Our youngest has health complications and the staff have just been amazing! I always feel kept up to date and that my children are being cared for very well in a clean, safe and stimulating environment.

I put my own experience of banana moon down to a one off situation that my son and I experienced but recent events with the nursery and the latest ofsted report makes me feel awful as a parent for not hearing my child sooner. My then 1 year old cried every single day going here but i was assured he had separation anxiety and he enjoyed it once in. One one occasion i was actually sent, via a parent app, photos of my child actually crying. They told me that was accidental and removed them straight away. My son has several food allergies and despite being told by staff that this was handled appropriately, the app also states my son had eaten foods containing these allergies, they just forgot to change the food on the app. Trying to assure me he hadnt eaten anythinf he shouldnt. However, very often my son experienced reactions and i knew he wasnt being cared for appropriately. When they knowingly slipped up giving my son egg they didnt ring me straight away. Instead they rang an hour or two later and asked what his reactions might be IF he was to have something he shouldnt and if the rash on his face was there when i dropped him off. When he moved up a room the keyworker didnt support him in the way he needed. Insisting he was a big boy and didnt need hugs when entering the nursery (whilst he was crying leaving me) and the keyworker wouldnt calm him down or hug him, just held his hand insisting big boys dont cry and to go upstairs. It was within a week of my son going into the 2yr old room that i expressed my concerns with the manager and pulled him out immediately. I would not recommend this nursery at all.

My Grandson has been at banana moon for a few months now , he has developed so much in every way and he has lovely bonds with the staff. The nursery is very clean , well equipped and welcoming. I like that there is an app which gives a report on my grandsons day - so I know how much sleep hes had , what hes had to eat and drink , whether hes had soiled / wet nappies and what activities hes done , sometimes with photos. I would definitely recommend banana moon as my grandson is always happy when I take him or pick him up .
