Arbor House Residential Care Home

Just been to do a visit with view to a stay by my client .what an amazing clean tidy home Manager staff very welcoming My lady was made very welcome I think she will enjoy her stay

Appalling care home! No care or attention! Main Lead denies being in the building when something kicks off however on the phone she can be heard in the background! Residents not being fed as they are left to sleep and then miss meal time- no routine for the residents to getting up/ going to bed etc, unable to deal with catheter residents, arrangements made to meet staff and other third parties regarding re-homing and no-one turns up for the meetings!! Dreadful reports going back over the years about lack of care, and all that I have recorded or similar hit the newspapers - place needs closing!!!!!!!

My mum has been a resident at Arbor House for over 3 years now. Staff are really dedicated and caring to provide the best for their residents. Through these difficult times not being able to see your loved ones, I have been reassured my mum is in good hands, being able to face time, now visit, and see pictures on social media on what the residents have been up to is fantastic. So thank you to all the staff at Arbor House.

Arbor house is one of the most caring care homes around. My grandma is currently in the care home and she absolutely loves it! The staff at arbor house are friendly and polite. They always make sure their residents are happy. They put their residents first because anything. I follow the care home page on Facebook and we love seeing all the faces during this lockdown. Arbor house is excellent and I would recommend this home to anyone that is looking to put one of their loved ones in a home. Arbor house is fantastic!!

Although the care be okey in this home the manners and controlling attitude of some of the staff is truly appalling ...l went to visit my mum after leaving a message on the answer phone the evening before.... as no one picked the phone up..when l got there l was told that they don't listen to the messages. I was shown in to my mother's room and it was very stuffy so l asked if l could take her into the sunny garden and was told NO because someone was already in there .The garden is big so we would have happily sat in one corner .l was told it was against the rules which l asked to see and was handed some rules that were no longer relevant as they expired in April 2022 ( after covid rules were lifted )After feeling threatened by the two ladies one of them rang the manager and we got to sit in the garden .lt was very upsetting and unnecessary especially for my two little grandchildren who came to visit their great grandma
