We booked The Venue for our daughter's wedding in February (please read the full review) and it was a good sized hall for the number of guests we had and there was plenty of parking. When we booked the Venue we paid the deposit amount and then the remaining balance had to be paid in full within 30 days which seemed too soon as this was 5 months before the function date but we paid the full balance; so please be aware of this. We visited the Venue on a number of occasions before the wedding and the carpet looked like it needed a clean each time and shockingly it looked the same on the wedding day. Not all the toilets had been cleaned before the wedding day and this was disgusting and came as a real shock when the bride and her friends tried to use the toilets in the bridal suite area. The catering staff provided by Muhammed the caretaker were really unprofessional as they bought a young child with them who caused so much trouble on the day as he was misbehaving by running around and ate desserts from the dessert table when in fact the table was covered. This child's behaviour was both dangerous and embarrassing so we had to speak to his mother (one of the catering staff) on the day of our daughter's wedding. Only two of the catering staff could speak English so communication was a real problem, their appearance was not professional and their waiting skills were not up to scratch; so if you do decide to book the Venue please do NOT use the waiting staff provided by Muhammad the caretaker (waste of money). We were told a week before the event that the Owner (boss) of The Venue would be onsite during our wedding but but no one was available when we had an issue with the lighting for the Decor, only Muhammad the caretaker was available to do some basic checks. Muhammad was helpful before and during the wedding but I have a suspicion that he is not entirely honest, as towards the end of the wedding day he told me that we would be charged an extra amount for finishing later than expected; but if I paid him 100 he would resolve this issue internally with the Venue. I did not want to incur any penalty and paid him this amount a week later and he informed me that he would notify the administrator that our function finished on time the following week when the office was next open. However later the same day I phoned the Venue administrator and requested my deposit and this was returned in full the same afternoon by bank transfer, which proves my suspicion that Muhammed is doing this without the knowledge of the Venue to get extra money on the side.
