My family have been commissioning Gadsbys to frame pictures since before the Second World War. This includes school, family and sports pictures. I have inherited many of these in the original frames and even now they don't need reframing! Leicester's best framer, no question.

We've known Gadsby's for years and have had many embroideries and prints framed by the Leicester branch, on the Market Place. Always an excellent, professional job is done on everything we've had framed! The staff know what they are doing, which is really important when you want an embroidery mounted and stretched properly. Worth the hour or so"s journey and a day in Leicester to bring and collect.

I wish I can give zero stars to this place. Few weeks ago, I gave 4 of my own paintings (2 for framing, 2 for putting glass and white mount) , 343. I have visited this place earlier few times and due to perceived good vibes decided to get my work done here. I thought i found my regular place. They smudged one of my water colour paintings and broke frame of other. What is more disappointing is that the owner didnt even take responsibility rather dishonestly tried to shove things under the carpet and divert the complaint and making me look like I am falsely complaining and it was already there. The response of owner when showed the smudge over my painting, never had complaint in 40 years . Totally nonsense and irrelevant. was it not already there . Upon asking regarding crack in frame, it was weak and fell apart. So it broke during putting glass. They changed the frame saying it was a big order Like he is doing me a bloody favour. I strongly believe this place has prejudgements and this behaviour was driven by seeing a person of different colour . What inconvenience this shop caused in beyond words, I had to go back to my home and redo my painting smudged part and reframe it. Even till end this place didnt accept their mistake and neither a decent human manner to apologise even once. Shameful. I am never stepping at this place again and will not recommend this place at all. No good wishes for you. I will let it go for my mental peace. Reply: What goes around will come around.
