If you care about your safety and want your basic rights I would not live here. I lived here last year and dont usually leave bad reviews but didnt want anyone else to go through this. Just a few of the reasons I wouldnt recommend: -They did not monitor the bins properly so you could not open your window unless you wanted to smell something unearthly whilst being attacked by bugs. -No water on 5 plus separate occasions - Drains were not maintained correctly to the point I used the university to go toilet for 3 weeks. It took forever for them to sort this out despite contacting every possible person to sort it out . -No safety, front gate was broken and anyone could walk through the block as the door would hardly be able to shut. I was threatened to be followed once and despite telling them nothing was done and the blocks were still accessible to the public. - A resident had his car windows smashed in the car park due to the car park not monitored -An aggressive neighbour to which I had to call the police. And was told by the management if I dont feel safe to just not stay in the flat but I was not allowed to end my contract.

Worst experience ever if I could give 0 stars I would . I stayed here for my final year of my undergrad degree and will heavily regret it. My experience was awful from the start. When I moved in there was so many issues from holes in the walls , a weird smell , Double mattress on a small double bed frame , dirty back wall where the stove was , broken oven light and broken extractor fan which I had raised but all of a sudden with no warning the accommodation management team had changed which I think was extremely unprofessional as a friend who was also a neighbour didn't even know till I told her. I had raised my issue with the new team only the bed mattress was changed however it was still big so I asked if it was possible to change the bed frame which I was told no. However this wasn't the worst thing , from moving in the person who lived above me was constantly making noise disturbances which began to get worse the second semester from constant partying and loud music till 8am , from constant banging on the floor , stomping across the flat and hearing their convos cause they were so loud - I went to ask if she could be quiet yet she slammed the door in my face which took a bigger toll on me both mentally and academically which I had to get my university involved as I suffer from anxiety and depression. I also contacted the accom manager who I had 80+ emails sent to her yet nothing was resolved as with no warning she left and i found out through another tenant during one of many fire alarms which happened throughout the year leading us to be outside for hours once we stuck in the freezing cold and rain because reception wasn't open and the out of hour number was useless. We would constantly wake up to no hot water which would happen during the weekend so we would spend days with no hot water and be told 2 days later we could use an additional building which was a 20 mins walk away. I was also being harassed by a much older man who lived in the building and at this point I made the decision to leave. This was 8 weeks ago and I have not had my deposit returned to me. I had the worse experience at this place and all the reviews which have been left previously are from tenants who lived under the previous accommodation management but under this new management I will never recommend it to anyone.

Perfect accommodation during my second year, couldn't ask for a better location for De Montfort University. The accommodation felt safe with pleasant staff which were always willing to help! Facilities in each flat are some of the best I have seen, and parking is available right outside the building. Would highly recommend to any students looking for accommodation for the next academic year.
