Avoid dr dyer at any cost he is very patronising even comparing me to my daughter, he talks as though he cares but he doesnt and threatens to kick you out if you attempt to harm yourself, I mean if you were well you would not be doing this, I was discharged the morning after a serious attempt on my life was even on level 3s all night until he came on, I have left worse than when I went in, been left now with crisis team who dont care either it will be almost a week since I spoke to them, maybe they think Im not serious about how I feel well one day the whole system will have to answer questions and dr dyer and his horrid responses will be held accountable Need to say that Sharon on night shift amazing and 2 health care workers Tracy and Suzanne were amazing and cared Donna Harrison

Appalling "service"; consistently had my place in the queue moved back, in one incident (of which there were several) by a year(!!), the only correspondence that had a named individual attached to it was the letter to say I'd been removed from the waiting list, entirely and unequivocally impossible to speak to anyone in the unit as all calls are screened, any visit to the unit is pointless as the reception staff prevent any contact being made, all calls from the unit are made on hidden/disguised numbers so that you can have no direct contact with them. It's a complete travesty that this unit is allowed to continue with these practises without intervention from above; my experience is not an isolated case, far from it, but clearly no conscience exists within the unit. Right To Choose was the only way that help was made available to me and at the point I took this route, and only at this point, I received the first and only correspondence from Glenfield with a specific person's name attached to it; they almost gleefully declare that I had been finally removed from their waiting list, a waiting list of almost 4 years with no help provided whatsoever. Collectively, Glenfield needs to hold its head in pitiful shame.

This hospital is appalling, they had in the year 2020 incompetent African nurses who were unable to fully carry out their duties and falsified physical observations just as I witnessed. The Bradgate Mental Unit had a death prevention notice and were during my stay, negligent in many ways. I witnessed two people who tried to kill themselves and that is negligence for a hospital who shouldn't allow their patients to even make an attempt. The hospital fail to listen to patients and do not even prescribe the right medication as and when needed, rather the hospital are good misdiagnosing their patients. Nurses such as Joshua Proctor and Peter Hurst, as well as Dr Adrian Vann, Dr Steptoe are proven liars and take full advantage of patients vulnerability just as they with me. The hospital doctor's and nurses fabricate reports and falsify statements as well as allowing patients to walk in with blades, bottles of alcohol and weapons without checking them, just as I have witnessed and done myself. It's a disgrace for a hospital such as this one, to look after and care for you. An example of sheer stupidity, is the hospital manager and nurses suggesting the use of scissors and handing them to patients to cut their nails, especially when in the hospital there are no risk assessments conducted where individuals can assault other patients just as I was assaulted. The hospital was not at all Muslim friendly and their is all types of discrimination against patients by patients alike as well as hospital nurses and doctors. They fail to understand patients. My previous review was removed but then again what is their to lie about, when they actually take advantage of the vulnerable just as I have witnessed and experienced during my stay. Advice for other patients, be prepared to take notes and if possible, recordings, as it was evident that was widespread malpractice during my stay and their should be a thorough investigation in to how this inadequately rated hospital is managed. I am sad to say, the NHS is full of cover ups and continue to justify medication to patients based on unfounded claims which is the untold truth.
