Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the services of the notary here. I needed a power of attorney to be sent to India and being a lay man went to the expert, Ms. Gurjit. I brought along two witnesses and left it to the able hands of Ms. Gurjit to get it done. She did what was to be done and I paid 125 pounds to her and left to submit the document in vfs, London. The document was rejected on a number of grounds all of which were based on whatever I had needed Ms. Gurjit for. Each and everything that she did with the document was incomplete. It was a huge disappointment and once back home with unfinished business, I called her and she dumped all the blame on the embassy saying their rules keep changing and that she couldn't do anything about it. If you can't do anything about it, could you please just mention that on a board outside your office so we know that you can't help us? Could you return the hard earned money you took from us giving us the assurance thrice that the document is ready to use in India? It couldn't even cross the border of UK, ma'am. What is more disturbing is how you evaded any responsibility of messing this up. If the rules keep changing, isn't it your job to be up to date with them if you are offering services pertaining to these rules only.. Am I supposed to know the rules and teach them to you. I'm just a layman. You are supposed to be the expert. Could you give me a satisfactory answer as to what my fault was when I gave you 125 pounds to make a legal document and it was rejected? You checked it, you signed it. Why was it all for nothing?
