        Lovely light mooring in central Leicester tucked away from parks with gates which are closed at night. Local shop directly outside gate. Pity CRT have no elsan /rubbish between Barrow on Soar and Kilby Bridge or we could have stopped another night.

        Excellent mooring near city centre. Stayed overnight and found it to be quiet and safe. Room for maybe 3 narrowboats. Water points on the pontoon. Went for a walk to the space centre through Abbey Park - very pleasant. Would definitely stop again.

        Good secure overnight and weekend mooring. However during weekdays anyone can gain access. A separate gate at the top of the moorings would easily rectify this and I am surprised that Canal and River Trust has not fitted one. Electric points are fitted to the pontoons but do not work. Wake up CRT. Please.
