Oriental Star

Used this takeaway for many years but not for the last couple of years but was always good. Decided to go back tonight for myself and my daughter and quite frankly never again ! The most tasteless takeaway Ive ever had the disapointment to eat ! Even the instant curry sauce that you whisk up in minutes at home tasted better than what I paid for ! My daughters house special chow mein was mostly veg and noodles and extremely tasteless as was my duck and king prawn curry ! Never again ! Sorry for the poor review but paid for good food and was delivered very poor tasteless food !

Got a takeaway from here on Saturday. Was good overall but rice was a bit clumpy. Had Sweet and sour Chicken HK style, plain chow mein, egg fried rice and the Oriental Star appetiser. It doesn't tell you what you'll get on the menu but is for 2 people. We had 2 dry ribs, 2 small chicken pcs, 4 spring rolls, 2 samosas, 3 small prawn toasts and half tray of crispy seeweed. Not sure if it worked out good value for money at 8.70 but was all tasty enough. Had trouble seeing if they were open for business as a lot of links on google were saying that they only did delivery (like no collection option) and items that weren't available to order?? I think it has something to do with Just Eat or Deliveroo!?? Was easy though to just go in and order and take away. The April 2022 price list is still the current one in case you were confused like us. Vegetarian options: Always a vegetarian option if you opt for plain noodles or rice. Also a lot of tofu dishes.

Iv tried many takeout chineses and oriental star is by far the best . so tasty we have been customers for 3 plus years never had a bad Chinese .Thankyou oriental star
