Rang up to ask if they could help repairing an oven that stopped working although grill and hob appeared fine. Rather than coming out and charging he checked if the timer was flashing, the electrics recently had to be switched off and it was a simple fix of changing the time! Very honest of him to diagnose and fix over the phone without charge...thank you Service: Stove & cooktop repair

I contacted Niven as my dryer had broken down, he came round and identified the problem and said it'll cost 75 to repair but he needed a part which would need ordering, fair enough. He contacted me a couple of days later and we arranged a date which he then changed the day before, stuff like this happens, not fussed. When Niven did come round I greeter him with the usual "hello, how are you", his response was "living the dream" in the most unenthusiastic tone you'd hear. He then started on the dryer and 25 minutes later he shouted me over to tell me that the part he needs to repair is awkward to get to and it would take another hour or so and he doesn't have the time. He then said sorry, packed up his things and left. He also said he had a similar job to go to which he was also going to cancel. I have an 18 month old so not having a dryer is a real inconvenience especially with the bad weather we have been having, not that Niven would care. Really unprofessional, if you need an appliance fixing, it is probably worth contacting someone else
