M & M Vehicle Repairs Ltd - Fix Auto North Staffs

Our car was sent in for some bodywork repairs by our insurance company. Tracey was lovely to deal with but we had an email from someone called Kevin who claimed there were some mechanical problems with the car and gave us a quote for it. We refused the work and took it to our local garage who service and mot our car and it turns out half the jobs M&M claimed needed doing were fine and the actual repairs only cost half what we were quoted. What is also concerning is the damaged spring which they quoted us for wasn't damaged before we took it in. So my question is, do they inspect the whole car as standard when it comes in for bodywork repairs or did the look at it because they damaged it on their yard which is full of pot holes?! This is the first time I've ever made an insurance claim and used a recommended garage and it will definitely be the last. Service: Auto body & trim repair
